With the establishment of the firm in 1969, Datoa?? Hew Hoi Lam JP registered as an architect with the Board of Architects (LAM) and became principal of Akitek Supra in 1990.
His professional activities include specialization in various categories ranging from single individually designed private residences, high-density to medium-cost apartment dwellings, commercial high-rises to industrial buildings.

Joined Akitek Supra in 1992 after obtaining his Advanced Diploma in Architecture from the MARA Institute of Technology, Malaysia, at Shah Alam in 1990, and has been with this practice since.
